A Message from Itzy

Today in honor of Itzy’s birthday, we asked him to share a few words:

I’ve been blessed to be part of this Camp YJ experience since I was 11 years old. Today, I hit a milestone birthday (50!), and I want you to know that I still get that sensation when I turn on Camp Road as I’m about to approach Camp YJ, so that feeling never goes away!

This birthday is very different and this summer will be different, but it doesn’t mean we can’t celebrate. We’ve been scheduling all kinds of events, everything from YJ Kahoot trivia contests and chug hangouts to a magic show and more. This summer, we’ll see campers and staff via Zoom calls and enjoy some fun activities together and just like at camp, we’ve got a few surprises planned. I’m even hoping that if everything settles down, maybe we can meet up in person in small groups and then ideally either in late summer or early fall, at our home away from home, Camp YJ.
